Step 1
Back stitch your message, I've used Happy Birthday, but it could be any other special event.
Then back stitch your first triangle. Here I've used a bright pink to represent pink icing.
The base is 40 sts to give you an idea.
Step 2
Back stitch your large panel (30x90 sts). Then cross stitch your filling. I've used a lovely strawberry jam colour mmm.
Step 3
OK so now you back stitch back panel (40x40 sts) and second triangle for the base.
Now you have all your panels:
Step 4
So now you add your beads to the smaller panel. This will be the back of the cake. I've used red and pink - they're your 100's & 1000's of course.
Step 5
Whip stitch all the edges together, leaving a gap for filling. Once filled, whip stitch the gap closed.
Birthday Cake!
And there we have it - good enough to eat (almost)
